Customers

In the customers area operators can locate all customers, including those who are in the quotation process and those with whom sales orders have actually been finalized. In the upper right hand corner of the Customer List screen, customers can be located by customer ID, the customer's name, or the customer's phone number by simply indicating which method the operator wishes to utilize. To make sorting easier, by clicking on any column heading, such as "Customer ID" or "Business Name," Job Master manufacturing inventory software will either alphabetize that column or sequence the numbers from lowest to highest.

In the Edit section of the Customer area, there are four different tabs at the top of the screen. "Main," which is the first screen that will open, "Billing and Financial," "Other Contacts," and "Shipping Locations." When clicked on, each of these tabs takes the operator to another screen where additional customer information can be entered.

There are buttons for quote history, order history, printing of the customer record, printing of mailing labels which remain visible. In the main screen there are multiple data entry areas. There are specialized notes for customers can be entered here under main notes, or technical notes, which will appear on the work order or shop traveler. Job Master manufacturing inventory software also offers the opportunity for an operator to enter specialized information into custom data fields in case there is a need for more specific and unique notes for an individual customer.

The "Quote History" and "Order History" buttons will respectively print out a complete history of all individual quotes made to a specific customer, or a complete history of all actual sales orders for that customer. This tool is useful because it allows an operator to evaluate how valuable customers are, how often quotes are turned into actual orders.
